Aloha,
Name is Robert, although many call me Robby. Photography has been consistently in my life since my sister bought me my first camera around the age of 7. Growing up in South Carolina, my friends and I were often taking pictures or filming each other skateboarding in the sweltering heat. When I was 19, I met my future wife, Cat, who also had great interest in photography. While living in New Orleans, for a few years surrounding Hurricane Katrina, we met a “rock-n-roll” photographer who introduced us to off-camera studio lighting. Our minds were blown. In 2006, we photographed our first wedding in New Orleans. A year later, in the spring of 2007, Cat and I went on a family vacation to the island of Lanai. Suddenly, we found ourselves living on the Big Island six weeks later, where I have been photographing professionally ever since. Cat has since pursued a career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. We love living on the Big Island, and we frequent many of the locations I photograph at on our days off. The two most rewarding things about being a wedding and family portrait photographer is meeting people from all over the world and providing them with photographs their loved ones will treasure for many generations.
